Under the planning, by 2030 Vietnam will develop the dry port system capable of meeting 25% - 35% of demands for movement of containerized imports and exports along transport corridors; establish dry ports and dry port clusters with total capacity of about 11,9 - 17,1 million TEU/year. In which, the capacity of dry ports and dry port clusters in the Northern region is expected to reach 4,29 - 6,2 million TEU/year; the capacity of dry ports and dry port clusters in the Central - Central Highlands of Vietnam is expected to reach 0,9 - 1,4 million TEU/year; and the capacity of dry ports and dry port clusters in the Southern region is expected to reach 6,8 - 9,5 million TEU/year.
Orientations by 2050: develop dry ports into focal points for transport, transshipment and distribution of goods associated with provision of logistics services, capable of meeting 30% - 35% of demands for movement of containerized imports and exports along transport corridors, and meeting local demands for logistics services.
This Decision comes into force from the date on which it is signed.
