In order to prevent cases where businesses, organizations, and individuals deliberately take advantage of the issuance and use of e-invoices for illegal activities, such as making fake invoices, buying/selling invoices for profit, the Ministry of Finance requested Tax Departments of provinces to strengthen warnings and conduct the inspection, examination and supervision of the issuance and use of e-invoices to promptly detect law violations and strictly handle them according to regulations.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance also assigned the General Department of Taxation to conduct a comprehensive review and assessment of the e-invoice information technology system to propose upgrades in order to ensure network safety and security for the e-invoice system and strengthen supervision, early detection and timely handling of misconducts on the e-invoice system.
