Official letter No. 5332/BCT-XNK dated August 11th, 2023 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding import of used goods prohibited from import

The document requests the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transport to offer opinions in order for the Ministry of Industry and Trade to report to the Prime Minister for consideration, settlement of proposal of Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd for re-import for investigating errors and improving products with regard to some components, parts of motorcycles which have been exported and used.

Now used motorcycle components, parts with HS codes of heading 8714 on the List of used vehicles prohibited from import are regulated at Circulars No. 12/2018/TT-BCT and No. 08/2023/TT-BCT.

Cases of import of goods prohibited from import to serve the special purposes, warranty, analysis, testing, scientific research, medicine, etc. must be considered licensing by the Prime Minister (clause 3 Article 5 of Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP )
